Print Fiesta -- coming to Silver City

The Desert Triangle will have a tent in Silver City, New Mexico -- at the upcoming Southwest Print Fiesta.  September 3 - 4, 2016.

UPDATE (August 24, 2016):

Print Fiesta in just over a week. Things are warming up!  Check out the SCHEDULE (beefier descriptions and Eventbrite schedule), including a clay monoprint workshop with Mitch Lyons.

(who once told me that
you need de gas to make de van go)

The list of vendors includes a lot of printers we have worked with before:

And we look forward to meeting the printmakers we don't know:

on Instagram and Facebook

We plan on setting up
three open portfolio cases
(on keyboard stands)
for visitors to flip through

They are marketing in Tucson, Albuquerque, and El Paso (as well as Las Cruces and Santa Fe) -- sounds like we are working the same territory.  This should be a great boost to the Southwest printmaking fever.

Sponsored by the Mimbres Region Arts Council.

More information on EventBrite -- (below taken from the EventBrite website, August 2nd):

Arrive a day early for the Southwest Print Fiesta! for a very special studio tour and welcome reception at the Silver City Visitors Center. Meet Fiesta Featured Artist in Residence, Mitch Lyons from New London, Pennsylvania. A mini exhibit of his unique clay monoprints will be on display. After some snacks and refreshments, explore downtown Silver City on your way to our last stop, Power & Light Press, an awesome letterpress studio in town, run by the incomparable, Kyle Durrie. Other surprise stops are being planned. This is a fun way to check out the great arts scene in Silver City and meet other Fiesta attendees from Tucson, El Paso, Las Cruces and all parts of New Mexico. This will be a completely walkable event. Bikes, skateboards, roller skates and most other forms of transportation are welcome as well.
